Human history

YouAnMen, also known as "southwest gate", was originally one of the seven gates in the outer city of Beijing. It was built in 1562, Jiajing 41st year of the Ming Dynasty, and now has no existence. In ancient times, the naming of YouAnMen in Beijing was not based on the attribute of "left West, right east" on the modern map, but on the orientation of the inner court (Forbidden City). Therefore, the one in the southwest of the Forbidden City is called YouAnMen, while the one in the southeast is called zuoaanmen. It embodies the concept of the great unity of monarchy. YouAnMen used to be on the first floor. YouAnMen tower is a single-layer single eaves Xieshan style, the urn is semi-circular, Jianlou is a small single eaves Xieshan style, its south side has two arrow windows, each layer has seven holes, the East and west sides also have two arrow windows, each layer has three holes, the side has a wooden square door in the middle.
