Zhennan sheep farm is located between Baicheng city and Zhenlai County, with a total area of 50000 hectares. The farm was invested by the Northeast People's government and developed and constructed by the Ministry of agriculture of the Northeast People's Government in 1952. Its main task is to cultivate excellent breeding livestock and breed sheep and horses for the whole country. It was designated as a national key breeding livestock farm in 1992 and listed as China's high-quality fine wool sheep breeding base by the Ministry of agriculture in 1999. The groundwater resources here are abundant, the water quality is clear, sweet and rich in a variety of minerals. In rainy season, meridional flow is formed on the surface, and natural bubble ponds of different sizes are formed in low-lying areas.
