Yanzi Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Qian'an County, Songyuan City, Jilin Province, is located in the southwest of Qian'an County, 25 kilometers away from Qian'an county. It borders Anzi town in the East, qianguoerlos Mongolian Autonomous County in the south, Suozi town in the West and Zanzi Township in the north. Yanzi Township used to be a Mongolian Nomadic land; in 1928, six fields (Dongjun Zi Jing), Xingzi Jing, Dajun Zi Jing, Qianyan Zi Jing, Suizi Jing) were set up here; in 1983, Yanzi commune was changed into Yanzi township. By the end of 2108, 15870 households had registered residence in Yan Zi Township. As of June 2020, Yanzi township has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages.

History of construction

Yanzi Township used to be a Mongolian Nomadic land. In 1928, Liufangdi (Dongjun Zi Jing), Xingzi Jing, Dajun Zi Jing, Qianyan Zi Jing and Suizi Jing were set up here. During the period of northeast occupied by the Japanese, they belonged to Anzi village.

In 1949, it belonged to Meiyan village, Anzi district.

In 1956, it was transferred to Anchang Township and set up Meiyan senior society.

In 1958, it was changed to the Meiyan management area of Anchang commune.

In 1961, the Qing Wai commune was established.

In 1981, it was renamed Yanzi commune.
