Jingyu Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Jingyu County, Baishan City, Jilin Province, is located in the middle of Jingyu County, bordering sandaohu town in the East and Mengjiang Township in the south, West and North, with an administrative area of 58.63 square kilometers.

In 1929, it belonged to the first district of Mengjiang (now Jingyu) County; in 1956, it was changed to Jingyu town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Jingyu town was 59242. As of June 2020, Jingyu town has 5 communities and 7 administrative villages.

In 2011, the total financial revenue of Jingyu town was 57 million yuan, an increase of 8% over the previous year. The per capita net income of farmers is 5800 yuan. History of construction

In 1929, it was a district of Mengjiang county.

In 1936, Mengjiang street was set up.

In 1945, it was a district of Mengjiang county.

In 1946, it was a district of Jingyu County.

In 1951, Mengjiang town was established.

In 1953, it was changed into Chengguan District.

In 1956, it was changed into Jingyu town.

In November 1985, Jingyu Township and Yongsheng Township were merged into Jingyu town.

In January 1989, Mengjiang township was established in 19 villages of Jingyu town.

Jingyu town is located in the middle and low mountain areas of Longgang mountain and Laoling mountain, at the West foot of the main peak of Changbai Mountain. The terrain is high in the west, South and North, and low in the East. Surrounded by mountains, such as a natural barrier, it forms a small Intermountain basin. The main peaks are sifangdadingzi, wujindingzi, xiaolonggang, Nantianmen, shashichang mountain, toutoushan, etc. the highest point in the territory is sifangdadingzi, with an altitude of 1233 meters; the lowest point is at the exit of Zhuzi River, with an altitude of 480 meters.

The river course in Jingyu town belongs to the first Songhua River System in the Songhua River Basin, which covers an area of 64.1 square kilometers, accounting for 100%. Zhuzi River, the main secondary river, has a total length of 80.6 km, with a flow length of 11 km; babaolan River, Qinglong River and Huangni River have three secondary rivers, with a total length of 13.2 km. The total length of the river is 24.2km, and the density of the river network is 0.4km/km2. The largest river in the territory is Zhuzi River, which originates from the east side of Sihai Longwan in the south of Xujiadian, Longgang mountain range, Mengjiang township. It flows from south to north, passes through Mengjiang Township, Longquan Town, Jingyu County town and sandaohu Town, and flows into toudao Songhua River, with a total length of 80.6 kilometers and a drainage area of 955 square kilometers. The main tributaries are babaolan River, Qinglong River, Huangni River, Sitong River, Xiaosha River, Hailong River and Banshi river River, Longquan River, etc.
