Hongzehu farm

Located in the southeast of Sihong County, Jiangsu Hongzehu farm is a large-scale state-owned enterprise integrating agriculture, industry, trade, planting, breeding and processing.

brief introduction

It covers an area of 92.69 square kilometers and has a population of 6556 (in 2010). It is a parking intersection. The forest coverage rate is 23%, and it has the largest bird (egret) Nature Reserve in Jiangsu Province.

At the beginning of liberation, it was a local state-owned Hongzehu farm in Anhui Province, under the jurisdiction of Anhui Provincial Public Security Department. In 1957, the State Farm Administration Bureau of Jiangsu Province officially took over the reform through labor farm in Anhui Province, and continued to set up the state machinery farm here. In 1965, due to the need of coastal defense, the people's Committee of Jiangsu Province decided that Hongzehu farm in Sihong County and five reform through labor farms (commonly known as beiwuchang) in Binhai County were Dayou, Dongzhi, Minsheng, xindang and Chaohe. The former is the new farm, established in 1952 in Binhai County, under the East China military and political Commission of the Ministry of public security. In 1954, it was renamed Jianshe farm in Northern Jiangsu. In 1956, according to the instructions of the Ministry of public security, the construction of farms was cancelled and five reform through labor farms were established Swap. In 1966, the local state-owned Hongze farm in Jiangsu Province was officially established, and it was renamed "the first labor reform and education detachment of Jiangsu Province", Huaiyin prison in Jiangsu Province, and Hongzehu prison in Jiangsu Province.
