History of construction

During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty (1736-1796), it belonged to Horqin Left Wing central banner. In 1866, it was divided into eight families. Qing Guangxu three years (1877), under the Wanbao society.

During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to the third district. In 1932, it belonged to Gongzhuling Street Office of Huaide county. In May 1946, Dayushu Township Office was set up. In October 1947, it was classified as the 11th district (Chaoyang slope). In September 1950, it was divided into the second district (Chaoyang slope).

In March 1956, nanweizi and daquanyan townships were set up, belonging to Chaoyang slope district.

In July 1958, nanweizi township was transformed into nanweizi commune.

In April 1983, nanweizi commune was changed into nanweizi township.

In July 2001, nanweizi township was changed into nanweizi street.
