Arctic Street

Arctic street, belonging to Chuanying District, Jilin City, Jilin Province, is located in the east of Chuanying District, bordering Xiangyang Street in the East, Qingdao street in the south, Zhihe street in the west, and Paotai mountain in the north, covering an area of 2.61 square kilometers.

During the period of the Northeast occupied by the Japanese, the Arctic town was set up along the Arctic street; in August 1979, the Arctic street was changed into the Arctic street. At the end of 2011, the total population of Arctic street was 29341. As of June 2020, Arctic street has four communities under its jurisdiction, and the sub district office is located in the property building of Xishan District 5, Lingqian community.

History of construction

During the period of the Japanese occupation of Northeast China (March 1, 1932 August 18, 1945), there was an Arctic town.

In 1945, it was changed from Arctic town to Arctic Street office. In October 1948, the government of Beiji street was established, belonging to Tongtian district. In July 1949, the Beiji Street government was incorporated into the Beiji police station.

In November 1950, the North Pole police station was changed into the north pole street office, belonging to three districts.

In May 1953, Arctic Street office was changed into Arctic Street Committee.

In December 1954, the Arctic Street Committee changed the Arctic Street into a boat camp area.

In December 1958, it was transferred to the shipcamp commune and the Arctic street to the Arctic branch.

In December 1960, the Arctic branch was incorporated into Qingdao Branch.

In 1962, Qingdao Branch set up Arctic street.

In May 1968, Arctic street was changed into Arctic Street Revolutionary Committee.

In April 1979, the Revolutionary Committee of Arctic street was divided into Arctic street and Zhihe street; in August of the same year, Arctic street was changed into Arctic street.
