Wohugou Township

Registered residence in Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, located in the northwest of the kalqin left wing Mongolian Autonomous County, west of Lingyuan, is bordering on Jianping county. The area is 101.77 square kilometers. Up to 2018, the population of the household register was 9157.

In 1961, wohugou commune was established, with 10 production teams under its jurisdiction. In March 1984, wohugou commune was changed into wohugou Township, and production brigade was changed into village. In 2004, the original 10 villages were adjusted to 7 villages. As of June 2020, wohugou has jurisdiction over seven administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 18 industrial enterprises and 2 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in wohugou township.

In 1968, the Management Committee of wohugou commune was changed into the Revolutionary Committee of wohugou commune.

In 1980, the Management Committee of wohugou commune was restored.

In March 1984, wohugou commune was changed into wohugou Township, and production brigade was changed into village.

In 2004, the original 10 villages were changed into 7 villages. Nanwa village was merged into erzhangzi village, Shuiquangou village into Xiajing village, and Pingdingshan village into wohugou village. Jiushenshen village, guzhangzi village, sijiazi village and bangshigou village remain unchanged.
