Aoshan town
Aoshan Town, formerly known as Jiangxi state-owned Aoshan overseas Chinese farm, was established in 2008 due to system reform. It is located in the northeast of Shanggao County, next to national highway 320, 4 kilometers away from the county. The town covers an area of 38.02 square kilometers, including 9068 mu of arable land. It has jurisdiction over 10 village committees, 2 villages inhabited by ethnic minorities, and 1 residents' committee. It has a permanent population of 8870 people (in 2017), including 7 ethnic groups, including Han, Yao, Dong, Dai, Jing, Zhuang and Miao. In recent years, the town Party committee and government have been committed to the construction of harmonious villages and towns. Jieguan village has successively won the title of national advanced grass-roots party organization, Yanglin ethnic minority village has won the title of top ten harmonious villages in the province, Daping ethnic minority village has won the title of the second civilized village and town in Jiangxi Province. The town Party committee has been awarded the "three people" Township good team by the county Party Committee for many years, and is known as the "farmers' calligraphy" "The land of the land".
Historical evolution
Aoshan Town, formerly known as Jiangxi state-owned Aoshan overseas Chinese farm, was founded in 1957. It was called state-owned Aoshan reclamation farm at that time. In 1979, it was renamed "Jiangxi state-owned Aoshan overseas Chinese farm" due to the resettlement of Indo Chinese refugees. It was under the direct management of the Provincial Overseas Chinese office. In 1987, it was transferred to Shanggao County for management. It was designated as a vice county level institution and implemented enterprise management. In 2008, we carried out system reform and established Aoshan town. The town is located in the suburb of Shanggao County, 110 kilometers away from the provincial capital Nanchang, 4 kilometers away from Shanggao County, 100 kilometers away from Yichun city. The total land area is 47.1 square kilometers, with 9068 mu of cultivated land, including 7838 mu of paddy field, 1230 mu of dry land, 10496 mu of woodland and 1081 mu of water surface.
administrative division
The town now has 12 village committees, including Guan, Guanbu, Dianshang, Liaojia, Yanjia, Jujing, Jingshan, Aobei, Yangyi, Changling, Yanglin and Daping, and the neighborhood committee of shihongqiao community, with a total number of 2294 households and a permanent population of 8870 (2017), and is composed of six ethnic minorities, namely Yao, Dong, Dai, Jing, Zhuang and Miao.

The territory has convenient transportation and rich products. The national highway 320 runs through the territory for 12 kilometers, realizing the cement road for every village. It is rich in rice, oranges, watermelons, rape and peanuts. It is an important fruit industry base and pig breeding base in the county. It takes the lead in establishing animal husbandry community and implementing ecological breeding in the County. At present, the pig house covers an area of 350000 square meters, with nearly 100000 commercial pigs sold annually.

Aoshan town is rich in water resources. The existing water resources reserve of the town is 7 million (m), and the available water resources is 6.6248 million (m). There are many reservoirs in the town. There are five large and small reservoirs in the town, with a total capacity of 388 cubic meters. The largest reservoir is Jujing reservoir, with a maximum capacity of 200 cubic meters and a water area of 473570 square meters. There are many large and small rivers in the town, mainly Jinjiang River, which belongs to the tributary of Ganjiang River system and mainly plays the role of flood regulation. The groundwater content is 500000 tons / year, the per capita water resources is 6933m, the agricultural water consumption is 6.2 million tons / year, the industrial water consumption is 12.55 million tons / year, and the residential water consumption is 324000 tons / year. The agricultural water in the town is mainly from the reservoir, while the residential water and industrial water are mainly from groundwater.
land resource
The total land area of the town is 41 square kilometers (61500 mu), the cultivated land area is 10260 mu, accounting for 16.68% of the total area, including 8353 mu of paddy field, 1907 mu of dry land, 18152 mu of mountain forest, accounting for 29.5% of the total area, 9494 mu of water surface area (including 2700 mu of aquatic products), accounting for 15.4% of the total area, and 6054 mu of other land. The geological structure in the town is stable without obvious earthquake cracks.
economic development
The town has continuously optimized the development environment, increased the strength of "going out and bringing in", and successively introduced 28 business enterprises, such as Fengxin chemical industry, overseas Chinese medical treatment, Shengniu rice industry, etc. in 2009, the financial revenue reached 15.03 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 32.4%, of which the financial contribution rate of industry reached more than 95%, realizing the transformation from agricultural economy to industrial economy, and the livelihood project developed rapidly. We have completed the reconstruction project of dilapidated houses for returned overseas Chinese. We have reconstructed and constructed the Town Central Primary School, Hongqiao market town, and homes for the aged with high standards.
