Fossil town
Fossil Ge Town, belonging to Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County, Fuxin City, Liaoning Province, is located in the northwest of Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County, with an administrative area of 227.7 square kilometers.
In 1962, Qianjin commune was set up. In 1984, Gexiang was reconstructed. In 2012, the township was replaced by township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of the fossil town was 14776. As of June 2020, the town has eight administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's Government of the town is stationed in the village.

Historical evolution
In 1932, it belonged to Chaoyang County.
In the autumn of 1946, it was liberated, belonging to the 15th District of Beipiao county.
In January 1959, it was transferred to Fuxin County, and the commune was renamed Qianjin commune.
In 1962, Qianjin commune was set up.
In 1984, Gexiang was reconstructed.
In 2012, the township was replaced by township.
