Batian Street
Batian street is located in the center of Yingkou City, west of Zhanqian District, Liaohe in the north, Jianfeng street in the south, Jianshe street in the East, Xinhua Road in the West and Shengli Street in Xishi district.
The total area is 1.92 square kilometers. It governs four communities: wudamen, Fuqiang, third floor and Huian. Yingkou municipal Party committee, municipal government, municipal people's Congress, Municipal Association and other party and government organs, as well as Shifu Road business district are within the jurisdiction. It is the political and commercial center of Yingkou City. Batian office is located at No. 27, bazilou, Xiangjun street, Zhanqian District, Yingkou City, with a permanent population of 40838 (in 2010), covering an area of 2.56 square kilometers.
The origin of the name
In the early days, several families of the Li family lived here. They opened up wasteland to grow vegetables. They were called Li's vegetable garden. Because its area was just "eight heaven and earth" (the "heaven" was the unit of measurement of land acreage in old China, which could be divided into 10 Mu into "heaven" and 6 Mu into "heaven"), it was called eight fields.

In June 1966, batian sub district office was renamed Hongqi commune; in October 1979, batian sub district office was restored; in March 1980, batian sub district office incorporated TIYU Street into Jianfeng sub district office; in 1989, batian sub district governed wudamen, batian, Xiangjun, Xiangdong, Huayuan, Binhe, Qingnian, Xinfa, Changzheng, Fuqiang, Yongjian, Caishi, Hongwei, Lengyan temple and Huian In 1996, it had an area of 2.6 square kilometers and a population of 37000 people. The office was located in bazhilou, and it has jurisdiction over 17 neighborhood committees. In the fifth census in 2000, it had a total resident population of 16420 households and 42107 people. In March 2001, it merged the 16 neighborhood committees into nine communities: wudamen, batiandi, Huayuan, Xiangjun, Qingnian, Caishi, Sanlou, Lengyan temple and Hui'an.
