Gulouzi Township
Gulouzi Township, belonging to Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County, Dandong City, Liaoning Province, is located in the southeast edge of Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County, facing the Democratic People's Republic of Korea across the river in the southeast, adjacent to Hushan town in the southwest and Changdian town in the northeast, with an administrative area of 133 square kilometers.
In September 1946, gulouzi district was established; in August 1983, it was renamed gulouzi township. By the end of 2018, 8753 households had registered residence in Gulou Zi. As of June 2020, gulouzi has jurisdiction over five administrative villages.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of gulouzi township was 20 million yuan. Among them, the local fiscal revenue was 7 million yuan, an increase of 32% over the previous year. In 2018, there were 6 industrial enterprises in gulouzi Township, including 1 enterprise above Designated Size and 17 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In September 1946, gulouzi district was established.
In May 1950, the Sixth District was set up.
On May 23, 1951, it was incorporated into Hushan district during the first zoning adjustment.
In February 1958, gulouzi township was established; in October of the same year, it was incorporated into Hushan commune.
In June 1961, gulouzi commune was established.
In August 1983, it was also renamed gulouzi township.

Chestnut in gulouzi township is the birthplace of Dandong chestnut. In 1998, gulouzi township was awarded the title of "the first township of chestnut production" by Dandong Municipal People's government. In the spring of 1964, the chestnut experimental station of Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County was established in lazigou village, gulouzi township. In 2010, the chestnut area of gulouzi township has developed to 45000 mu, 1.5 million plants, with an annual output of more than 6000 tons, becoming one of the main pillar industries of the township.
