Jianchang Town, subordinate to Benxi Manchu Autonomous County, Benxi City, Liaoning Province, is located in the east of Benxi Manchu Autonomous County, with Xinbin Manchu Autonomous County in the north and Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County and Fengcheng City in the south. It covers an area of 276.22 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in soda factory was 24451.

On September 23, 1958, Dongfanghong commune was founded. In February 1962, Dongfanghong commune was divided into dongyingfang commune and lanheyu commune. In 2006, they were assigned to Jianchang town and dongyingfang Township respectively. As of June 2020, Jianchang town has jurisdiction over 2 communities, 11 administrative villages and another village level unit. The town people's government is stationed in Jianchang village.

In 2018, there were 28 industrial enterprises in the town, including 1 industrial enterprise above Designated Size and 50 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
