Caohe town

Caohe Town, belonging to Benxi Manchu Autonomous County, Benxi City, Liaoning Province, is located in the southern mountainous area of Benxi Manchu Autonomous County, bordering Saima town in the East, Fengcheng City in Dandong City in the south, CAOHEKOU town in the West and caohezhang town in the north. It covers an area of 205.17 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Cao River town was 13474.

Guangxu 32 years (1906), change Benxi set governance, belongs to Benxi county. In January 1984, Caohe city was set up. In October of the same year, it was changed into Manchu town in Caohe city. In September 1989, it was renamed Caohe town. As of June 2020, Caohe town has jurisdiction over one community and seven administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Caohe town.

In 2018, Caohe town has 10 industrial enterprises and 21 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In the 13th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1380), Caohe qianhusuo was set up here, which belonged to Si dongningwei, commander of Liaodong, and qingcaohe city belonged to Fenghuang hall.

Caohe town has a water area of 10000 mu, and all rivers flow from north to south. Caohe River, one of Benxi's three major water systems, flows through the territory for 20 km and flows into Yalu River through Fengcheng.
