Evolution of organizational system

Its original names were Doudian and Tadian, and they were called Chadian according to the homonym in the early Republic of China. Chadian township was established in 1941, belonging to the Second District of Ninghe County, and was transferred to Hangu in 1957. It belonged to Hongqi commune in 1958, then Qunying commune and Lutai commune. Chadian commune was established in 1961 and changed to Chadian Township in 1983. Hougu Township, formerly known as hougoulougu, was simplified to Hougu after the founding of the people's Republic of China, and was under the jurisdiction of Ninghe county. In 1959, it was merged into Hangu with the county, and qiaogu commune was established. In 1982, it was renamed Hougu commune, and in 1984, it was changed to township. In 1996, Chadian Township, with an area of 17.3 square kilometers and a population of 10000, had 12 administrative villages, namely chaxi, Chadong, Liuzhuang, cuixingzhuang, Daxin, Futian, Dongxin, Taiping, xincundong, xincunxi, Qianjin East and Qianjin West; Hougu Township, with an area of 25.6 square kilometers and a population of 13000, had 8 administrative villages, namely xilizigou, cuixinggu, qiangu, Hougu, Baotian, qiaogu, mengjiaqukan and ximengzhuang Political village.
