Wangbin Street

Wangbin street is located in the north of Qipanshan International Scenic Tourism Development Zone, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, with Xiuhu scenic area in the south, Tieling in the north, Shenbei New District in the West and Fushun in the East, covering an area of 58.2 square kilometers.

On December 2, 2019, Shenyang Civil Affairs Bureau issued the announcement on the adjustment of administrative divisions of some streets in 10 areas including Heping District, revoking Wangbin street and dividing its jurisdiction into Mantang street.

Historical evolution

In 1996, it covers an area of 40.6 square kilometers and has a population of 6000. It governs 12 administrative villages including Wangbin, Hexin, shanchengzi, Fangshengou, Heilinzi, zhangzigou, zengjiagou, gulazi, yanjiazi, nansanjiazi, dongsijiazi and Wangou. In 2002, the township government was stationed in Wangbin, with a population of 5600 and an area of 48.09 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 12 village committees including Hexin, shanchengzi, Heilinzi, Fangshen, zhangzigou, zengjiagou, gulazi, Yanjia, nansanjiazi, dongsijiazi, Wangou and Wangbin. At the end of 2002, Wangbin township was abolished, and six villages (with an area of 25.85 square kilometers) including zengzigou, zhangzigou, Heilinzi, Hexin, Fangshengou and shanchengzi were included in Magang Township, while six villages (with an area of 25.12 square kilometers) including Wangbin, nansanjiazi, dongsijiazi, Yanjia, gulazi and Wangou were included in Puhe town. In March 2006, the original Wangbin township area and the three villages of Lianhua, Xintun and mazhuangzi in Puhe town were put under the management of Shenyang Qipanshan International scenic tourism development zone. On December 26, 2007, with the approval of the provincial government (liaozheng No. 236), it was agreed to set up Wangbin street. On March 20, 2008, Wangbin town was changed into Wangbin Street office. General situation

Wangbin area has 1445 hectares of arable land and 2125 hectares of forest land, with a forest coverage rate of 55.42%. Wangbin area has unique natural ecological resources. Shenyang National Forest Park is the largest secondary forest farm in Shenyang. The upstream of Puhe River flows through the South with clear water and abundant water. Through the renovation in recent years, the comprehensive competitiveness of the region has been greatly improved. Wangbin area is located on the tourism scenic line of "Xihe Hunhe landscape belt Expo Forest Park". Different sections correspond to different landscape characteristics: Humanistic leisure green landscape, riverside green landscape, Riverside ecological landscape, humanistic ecological landscape, horticultural ecological landscape, natural landscape, wetland landscape, pastoral landscape and forest ecological landscape. Wangbin Street governs 13 communities including Wangbin, nansanjiazi, Yanjia, dongsijiazi, gulazi, Wangou, zhangzigou, zengzigou, Heilinzi, Hexin, shanchengzi, Fangshengou and qiujiagou, with a permanent resident population of 6045 (2010), accounting for 99.5% of the total population.
