Historical evolution

Beilik ranch was founded in 1955. It is one of the three breeding ranches (Heichengzi in blue banner and hushuomiao in Dongwu banner) of the former Xilin Gol League food company. In 1984, the reform was carried out, in which collective livestock were contracted to workers and young people waiting for employment, and the contract system of animal husbandry was implemented, with the property right of the farm and the management right of the individual, which continued until 2000. In 2000, the first round of grassland division was carried out, with 2700 mu for each worker and 2000 mu for each unemployed. In 2001, the pasture system was transferred to neilun group, a private enterprise. In 2007, it returned to Xilinhot. In 2009, the second round of grassland division was carried out, which was consistent with the 30-year contract period of "two rights and one system" of grassland in Xilin Gol League. The contract management of grassland was further standardized, the chaotic state of grassland was changed, and the development of animal husbandry was on the right track. Beilik ranch is located in a superior location, convenient transportation and rich in tourism resources. Pingdingshan is famous in China, which was formed by volcanic eruption millions of years ago.

National Highway 207 is 2 km west of 31 km. From afar, there are more than 10 natural landscapes on the flat grassland. The top of the mountain is as flat as a knife, the hillside and cliff are steep, and they are arranged in order. According to geologists' research, Pingdingshan is formed by volcanic eruption hundreds of millions of years ago, also known as the lava platform. It reaches the northern edge of Hunshandake Sandy Land in the south, Xilin River in the East, hulchagannor baogedawula in Abaga banner in the west, and the border between China and Mongolia in the North. It can be divided into two lava platform landforms, Baiyin Tuga and huitengliang. The total area is 8676 square kilometers, accounting for 4.35% of the total area of the league. In this area, mesa, depression and valley are distributed alternately, and the elevation of mesa is 1100-1300 meters.

Pingdingshan lava platform was formed by volcanic eruption from tertiary to early Quaternary. On the basalt platform, 204 cone-shaped Dead Fire hills are distributed in groups, with an elevation difference of 50-160 meters. Due to long-term erosion and water cutting, most of them are horseshoe shaped or square, the top of the mountain is even, the cone mound is low, and there are basalt stones with different sizes and uneven density around them. There are obvious basalt exposed on some platforms, and only the slope is covered with residual and thin layer of slope sediments.

According to folklore, Genghis Khan chased a white fox here. Suddenly, the white fox disappeared. In a rage, Genghis Khan drew his sword and waved it, so he flattened the top of the mountain. Pingdingshan is one of the eight scenic spots of grassland tourism in Xilinhot. Although Pingdingshan is as flat as a knife from a distance, when you reach the top of the mountain, you will find that the top of the mountain is uneven and covered with tuff blocks left by volcanic eruptions of different sizes. In many places, the bedrock is exposed and the vegetation is sparse, but the traces formed by volcanic eruptions are still full of thoughts and the sound of waves is still the same. Pingdingshan is close to the typical grassland in the north and the sandy land and sparse forest in the south. Pingdingshan spectacular view, sunset is the best, popular platform sunset. Whenever the setting sun falls to the west, the afterglow of the setting sun seems to put a layer of rouge on Pingdingshan, which makes Pingdingshan look particularly charming, docile, affectionate and peaceful. In particular, an ancient and simple landscape of setting sun and rising smoke in mubao makes visitors feel full of thoughts and forget to return.
