Jiefang Road

Jiefang Road, located in Lixia District, Jinan City, Shandong Province, is the East-West main road of Jinan City. Jiefang Road starts from Qinglong bridge and heihuquan North Road, passes Jiefang Bridge in the East, ends at dianliuzhuang and Erhuan East Road, with a length of 3536 meters; Jiefang East Road in the East and Quancheng road in the West. Historical evolution

In 1953, Jiefang Road was built section by section from west to East, successively paved with cinder, gravel and asphalt pavement. The pavement width increased from 4m, 12m to 34m.

In 1978, Jiefang Road (section from Qinglong bridge to Lishan Road) was widened to 35 meters, including 25 meters of carriageway and 5 meters of sidewalk.

In 1979, Jiefang Road (the section from Lishan road to the intersection of Gongye South Road) was widened to 50 meters, including 15 meters of fast lane, 2 meters of flower bed green belt on both sides, 7.5 meters of slow lane and 8 meters of sidewalk; the section from the intersection of Gongye South Road to dianliuzhuangqiao was widened to 18 meters, including 14 meters of roadway and 2 meters of sidewalk.

In 1980, the intersection of the road and Lishan road was rebuilt into a 45 meter diameter roundabout. The width of the fast lane is 11 meters, the width of the green barrier is 2 meters, and the width of the slow lane is 7.5 meters. Both fast and slow roads are asphalt concrete roads.
