Hongmao town
Hongmao ancient town was located in changhanying area in KangQian period of Qing Dynasty. It was the first foothold of "going to Xikou" and "killing hukou".
On May 2, 2017, the people's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region issued an official reply on adjusting the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Liangcheng County, setting up Hongmao town as the resident of the people's Government of Liangcheng County. Hongmao town is the seat of Liangcheng County Government and the political, economic and cultural center of the county, with a total area of 199.5 square kilometers. There are 13 village committees and 10 communities in the town, with 102 villagers' groups and 56 residents' groups and 67540 people (2017).
