Longgang
Longgang City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province, is managed by Wenzhou City. It is located in the south of Zhejiang Province, adjacent to Cangnan County and Pingyang County. It is located on the South Bank of the estuary of the Aojiang River, adjacent to the East China Sea in the East, the Hengyang Branch of the Aojiang River in the west, national highway 104, Shenhai Expressway and Wenfu Railway in the west, the Jiangnan plain in the South and the main stream of the Aojiang River in the north. The geographical coordinates of the center are 27 ° 30 'n and 120 ° 23' E.
On October 12, 1983, the people's Government of Zhejiang Province officially approved the establishment of Longgang town. In June 1984, the four townships of paihuqian, Baisha, Longjiang and Yanjiang in Cangnan County were under the jurisdiction of Longgang town. In 2011, Cangnan County withdrew the organizational system of manga Town, Lupu town and Yunyan Township, and its administrative region was merged into Longgang. At the end of 2014, as one of the first two comprehensive pilot projects of new urbanization at the town level, a new round of "power expansion" reform was launched. In August 2019, with the approval of the State Council, Longgang town of Cangnan County will be abolished and Longgang city at county level will be established. It is the first county-level administrative region in China that has been transformed from a town to a city and has no towns or streets. When the town was removed to establish a city in 2019, it has jurisdiction over 73 administrative villages and 30 communities with an area of 183.99 square kilometers and a population of 382000. In 2018, the GDP was 29.95 billion yuan, the per capita GDP was 78600 yuan, the urbanization rate was 64.16%, and the per capita disposable income of urban and rural permanent residents was 54500 yuan and 28302 yuan respectively.
During the period from its establishment to its establishment, Longgang has successively won the honors of the United Nations Development Agency sustainable development pilot town, the national small town construction demonstration town, the national small town comprehensive reform pilot town, the Wenzhou strong town power expansion reform pilot town, the national new urbanization pilot town, and the national civilized town. History of construction
Longgang administrative region originally belonged to Pingyang County. In 1981, seven districts and one town in the south of Aojiang River in Pingyang County were set up in Cangnan County, and then it belonged to Cangnan County.
On October 12, 1983, the people's Government of Zhejiang Province approved the establishment of Longgang Town in Cangnan County.
In March 1984, the CPC Longgang Town Committee and the town people's government were formally formed.
In April 1985, Longgang District was added in Cangnan County.
In March 1992, Cangnan County abolished Longgang District and its townships and established a new Longgang town.
In August 2019, with the approval of the State Council, Longgang town of Cangnan County will be abolished and Longgang city at county level will be established. Longgang city is directly under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province and managed by Wenzhou City. On September 25, Longgang city was officially established.

Before the establishment of the town from 1949 to 1983, it was under the jurisdiction of Yanjiang and Longjiang townships.
In March 1984, Longgang town was established in Fangyan village and hedigao village of Yanjiang Township, jinchaihe village, Jiangkou Village and Xiabu village of Longjiang township.
In June 1984, the four townships of Huqian, Baisha, Longjiang and Yanjiang in Yishan district were under the jurisdiction of Longgang Town, and the township system was put into practice.
In February 1985, the county jurisdiction system was restored, and Huqian, Baisha, Longjiang and Yanjiang townships were restored to Yishan.
In April 1985, Longgang District was established, with jurisdiction over Baisha, Longjiang, Yanjiang, Huqian and Haicheng townships.
In October 1988, Huqian town was changed into a town directly under Cangnan County.
In March 1992, Longgang District and its four townships, Yanjiang, Longjiang, Baisha and Haicheng, were abolished, and all their administrative areas were merged into Longgang town.
In June 2000, Huqian Town, Pingping Township and Jiangshan township (except for houlongzeng village and Liangzhai village of Jiangshan township) were abolished and merged into Longgang town.
On April 15, 2011, the organizational systems of manga Town, Lupu town and Yunyan Township were abolished and merged into Longgang town. After the adjustment, Longgang Town governs 3 communities, 25 residential areas and 171 administrative villages. The town government is located in hedigao village. There are 12 offices in Chengnan, Chengbei, Yanjiang, Longjiang, Baisha, Haicheng, Huqian, Jiangshan, egalitarianism, Luoluo, Lupu and Yunyan.
On May 23, 2012, the office of Longgang town was cancelled and 17 communities were set up, including Jiangpu, Chengnan, Longyue, Chengbei, Yanjiang, Longjiang, Baisha, Haicheng, Longpu, Huqian, fengjiang, Jiangshan, egalitarian, Luoluo, Lupu, Yunyan and Xincheng.
On April 22, 2016, due to the needs of the pilot work of the national new urbanization comprehensive reform in Longgang Town, the original 17 communities were adjusted to 14 communities, and 11 communities including Longjiang, Yanjiang, Baisha, Haicheng, fengjiang, Jiangshan, egalitarian, Luoluo, Lupu, Yunyan and Xincheng were retained. Chengnan and Jiangpu communities merged to form a new Chengnan community; Chengbei and Longyue communities merged to form a new Chengbei community; Huqian and Longpu communities merged to form a new Huqian community.
In May 2019, Longgang will carry out village community adjustment, which governs 73 administrative villages and 30 communities; the original 14 community management committees will be renamed as 14 District workstations.
In September 2019, Longgang city was established, which is divided into nine districts without towns and streets. Each district has a party working committee and grassroots governance center with non independent legal person and no fixed establishment, so as to promote "flat" management.
On April 26, 2020, the work of "village to community" in Longgang city was fully completed. All 73 administrative villages in Longgang city were changed from village to community. Among them, Fengxiang village and zhujiazhan village were merged into Jinxing community, and the other 71 villages were directly changed into communities on the basis of the original villages. So far, Longgang city has no rural village committee, only 102 urban communities.

The terrain of Longgang city is relatively flat, belonging to coastal silting plain landform. The overall terrain is high in the southwest and low in the northeast. Except for the local low mountains in the south of Luoluo and the south of Yunyan, the ground elevation is 4.5 to 6 meters (Wusong elevation), and the eastern plain is a modern marine plain with higher terrain (5 to 6 meters). The northeast end of Aojiang River estuary is low and flat, with an elevation of only 3 to 5 meters. It is a plain with dense river network. Under the condition of subtropical warm and humid climate, the surface weathering is active, and the weathering thickness is more than 10 meters. The effect of flowing water is strong, the slope is crisscross with gullies, and there are scoured slopes with exposed bedrock everywhere. The coastline is more than 20 kilometers long, with Pipa mountain and other coastal islands.

Longgang city is located in the Aojiang River Basin, sharing a river length of 16 kilometers with Aojiang town of Pingyang County. Aojiang River is one of the three major tidal bore rivers in China. It flows from west to East into the East China Sea. Its main tributary, Hengyang Branch River, is transformed into Danshui River by man. It is the boundary river in the west of Longgang.
In Longgang City, the river network is densely distributed, and many small tributaries of Aojiang River constitute the river network in the south of the Yangtze River. Plain rivers crisscross, with a total length of 809.4 km. There are two main rivers in the Jiangnan river network: the first is the Longjin canal, which runs from north to south to the north gate of Jinxiang Township through Longjiang, Jiangshan, Pingping, Yishan, Xianju, Qianku, Xiangqiao and kuoshan, with a total length of 26.4 km and an average width of 30.5 m, running through the Jiangnan plain; the second is the Yunluo River, which runs from west to east to Dongkui of Luolong, Yishan, Xianju and Lupu, with a total length of about 20 km In the Jiangnan plain. Longgang city belongs to subtropical marine monsoon climate, warm and humid, sunny, abundant rain, four distinct seasons. The annual average temperature is between 14 ℃ and 18 ℃. The hottest months of the year are July and August, and the average temperature is 28.2 ℃ and 28.1 ℃ respectively. The interannual variation of maximum temperature is 34.8 ~ 40.4 ℃, with an average of 36.5 ℃. The coldest months of the year are January and February, and the average temperature is 8 ℃ and 8.6 ℃ respectively. The annual average frost free period is 208-288 days. The average annual rainfall is 1670.1 mm.
The annual dominant wind direction is northeast wind, southeast wind in summer and west wind in winter; July and August are severe tropical storm periods, often landing in the southeast coast, and the maximum wind force is about 12.
