Shijie Street

Shijie street, belonging to Horqin district, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the east of Horqin district. It is adjacent to Dongjiao street in the East, Tienan street in the south, Mingren street in the West and Muslim street in the north. Its total area is 2.3 square kilometers. By the end of 2011, the total population of Shijie sub district was 29800.

In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), the street foundation was built. In June 1960, Shijie people's commune was established. In September 1980, the urban people's commune was abolished and Shijie street was established. As of June 2020, Shijie street has 8 communities under its jurisdiction.

In 2011, the total revenue of Shijie street was 2.85 million yuan, an increase of 9.5% over the previous year. From the perspective of major taxes, we have completed 1.4 million yuan of business tax, 340000 yuan of value-added tax, 60000 yuan of enterprise income tax and 17000 yuan of individual income tax.

Historical evolution

In 1914, the warlord Wu Junsheng, Ma Longtan, Fu Mingzhe, Feng Lingge and others built the street base, which is called Xiaojie base.

In June 1960, Shi Jie people's commune was named after Shi Jie, a revolutionary martyr.

In September 1980, the urban people's commune was abolished and Shijie street was established.
