Wusha town

Located in the west of Guizhou, Guizhou is an old town in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, 69 kilometers away from Guizhou.

Wusha town is the former residence of Wusha district Party committee and district government, which is the central town determined by Anhui Provincial People's government. There are 12 villagers' committees in Xinyi village, Lianzhuang village, Xinzhuang village, Shuangtang village, Lianhua village, Dengta village, Liyang village, Liancun village, Longgan village, Hongzhuang village, Hengtang village and Fengzhuang village, and 2 residents' committees in Wusha and Yantang.

In 2017, the administrative area of Wusha town was 9067 hectares, with 46156 permanent residents.

In 2012, there were 8 ship building and repair enterprises in the town, of which 5 were completed and put into operation, and 3 were under construction; the agricultural industry was mainly characterized by large and small peanuts, seedlings and flowers, and rich sun dried rice.

Evolution of organizational system

It has been nearly 130 years since the establishment of the town in 1881.

Wusha people's commune was established in 1958; its address was moved to yujialou in 1972; its address was moved back to Wusha in 1978; it was changed to Wusha Township in 1984 when the system reform was carried out; it was approved by the provincial people's government to withdraw Wusha Township and build a town in 1991, and Zhujia township was merged into Wusha Township in 2001.

When the township administrative division was adjusted in 2007, the villages under the jurisdiction of the former Zhujia Township were separated out and Yantang town was merged.

On February 5, 2007, Guichi District Party committee of Chizhou City and Guichi District People's Government of Chizhou City decided to abolish Wusha town (including 12 villages of Puqing, Yulou, Hongyang, Xiaoshang, Zhujia, Xingfu, Guzhong, Wangxing, Beizha, Changle, Tongle and Minsheng) and Yantang Town, and set up a new Wusha town. The town government is located in the former Wusha town.

The origin of naming

Wusha town is named after its resident Wusha. About 20 kilometers long from chikou to Wusha, niaolouzhou is a fine sand deposit for many years, which is black in color. There is Jiajiang River on the northern ridge, so it is named wushajia, also known as Wusha.

Wusha town has hills in the southwest, polder areas and small plains along the river in the northeast, Yangtze River in the northwest and Qiupu River in the East; along the river bank, there are long and narrow sandbank small plains and low-lying areas along the lake.

Xinheba electric drainage station has 10 installed units, with a total capacity of 1930 kW; xinheba electric irrigation station has 3 installed units, with a total capacity of 205 kW.

The Chizhou lvjingyuan flower and tree base in shuangcun group of Longgan village covers an area of more than 200 mu, with more than 100 varieties, such as camellia, Osmanthus fragrans, Magnolia grandiflora, Magnolia denudata, red leaf plum, camphor, etc. Now the production and marketing of seedlings are booming, and the products are sold to Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other surrounding provinces, providing a large number of flower seedlings for urban greening. The cause of flowers and seedlings has been growing, and the development is in full swing. The base is from small to large, the area is from less to more, from a single flower to ten thousand trees, from simple planting to diversified development, from local sales of seedlings to exported to Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other surrounding provinces. The green brand is more and more beautiful, and there is great hope to seize the domestic market. It has developed more than 50 households, with an annual sales volume of more than 1.5 million yuan and a total annual net income of more than 1 million yuan.

Chizhou Huatong new energy Co., Ltd., with an investment of more than 60 million yuan, is the first enterprise to put into operation for the "333" industrial and trade project in the whole district. In 2009, the investment of more than 70 million yuan in ship building and repair plant and wharf preparation has been counted down.

Wusha town has a history of more than 120 years since it was established in 1881, the seventh year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. Now the old street of Wusha town is well preserved, and the prince fan in the west of the town is one of the "three big Ji" of the Yangtze river. There are also Huanggong temple in Cuiping mountain, Ciyun Pavilion in Zhendong and Wusha old street for people to visit.

Development goals

The future development goal of Wusha town is: to gradually build an ecological town mainly based on commerce and organic food processing. The population of the market town will grow to 12000 in the near future, 16000 in the long term, and the land area of the market town will be 1.2 square kilometers in the near future and 1.6 square kilometers in the long term. We should further give full play to the unique advantages of provincial central towns, focus on urban construction, take project construction as the starting point, take base construction as the carrier, vigorously implement the sustainable development strategy, accelerate the process of urbanization and agricultural industrialization, and strive to build a century old town and a populous town into an ecological town and a strong economic town.
