Wenquan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Luchuan County, Yulin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the middle of Luchuan county. It is the resident of the people's Government of Luchuan county. It is adjacent to Shapo town in the East, Wushi town in the southeast, Daqiao town in the southwest, Bobai County in the west, Shahu town in the northwest and Michang town in the north, with an administrative area of 123.27 square kilometers.

In 1941, it was Guanxiang township. In October 1992, the township was changed into a town. In June 2005, Lucheng town was abolished and merged into Wenquan Town. By the end of 2018, the total number of registered residence in Wenquan Town was 59 thousand, with a total population of 162 thousand and 200. By the end of 2019, Wenquan Town has jurisdiction over 6 communities and 14 administrative villages. The town government is located in Wenchang community.

History of construction

In 1941, it was Guanxiang township.

In 1949, it was incorporated into Chengxiang, No.1, No.5 and No.6 districts respectively.

In April 1952, after the adjustment, it belonged to the first district of urban governance, and then changed to Chengxiang District.

In January 1958, Chengxiang and guantian were divided into two townships. In the same year, Chengxiang commune was established.

In 1982, it was changed into hot spring commune.

In 1985, it was renamed Wenquan township.

In October 1992, the township was changed into a town.

In June 2005, Lucheng town was abolished and merged into Wenquan Town.
