Wudangzhao Town, belonging to Shiguai District, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the northeast of Shiguai District, with tumed Right Banner in the East, Donghe District in the south, dadeheng street in the West and Guyang County in the north. The area is 191.34 square kilometers. In 2018, 9994 people registered residence.

On October 1, 1958, the National Day commune was established. Later, the commune was transformed into a township. On December 25, 1963, Guoqing township was put under the jurisdiction of Baotou suburb. On September 12, 1998, Guoqing township was assigned to Shiguai district. On February 14, 2006, National Day township was merged into wudangzhao town. In June 2020, wudangzhao town governs five administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 19 industrial enterprises in wudangzhao Town, including 18 industrial enterprises.

Historical evolution

On October 1, 1958, the National Day commune was established. Later, the commune was transformed into a township.

On February 14, 2006, wudangzhao town governs 11 administrative villages including baicaogou, gangfangdi, changhanggou, xinshuguang, naobaogou, Wudanggou, jihuluntugacha, panyushugacha, Sanchakou Gacha, caicaigougacha and shaobuhaigacha, and a residents' committee in jihuluntu.

At the end of 2011, wudangzhao town had one residents' committee in jihuluntu, and 11 villagers' committees (Gacha) in gangfangdi, baicaogou, changhangou, xinshuguang, naobaogou, Wudanggou, jihuluntu, panyushu, Sanchakou, caicaigou and shaoboheigacha.

In June 2020, wudangzhao town has five administrative villages: gangfangdi village, xinshuguang village, changhangou village, baicaogou village and Qingshan village. The town people's government is located in baicaogou village.

topographic features

Wudangzhao town is located in the hinterland of Daqingshan in Yinshan Mountain range, with gentle terrain in the north and steep terrain in the south. The terrain belongs to hilly area, surrounded by mountains on all sides, and the middle part is loess hills with gullies. The highest peak is 1856 meters above sea level, and the lowest is 1150 meters above sea level.

Wudangzhao town belongs to temperate continental monsoon climate, which is characterized by obvious temperature difference in four seasons, large temperature difference between day and night, drought and less rain. At the end of spring and the beginning of summer, it was affected by wind and sand. Summer is short and hot, affected by the southeast monsoon. It's cool in autumn and foggy after rain. Winter is long and cold, affected by the northwest monsoon. The annual average sunshine hours are 3077 hours. The annual average frost free period is 113 days, the freezing period is generally 5 months, that is, from November to next March, the freezing depth is generally 0.9-1.3m, and the maximum frozen soil depth is 1.82M.

hydrology

The rivers in wudangzhao town are seasonal rivers, mostly dry ditches. There is no water at ordinary times. Mountain torrents break out after heavy rain. There are five main rivers. Shiguai Xigou. It is composed of shiguaizi Xigou and maohutai Gou converging at dangpuyao, and jiushiguai and Zhenggou, with a total length of 10 km. The maximum flood discharge in rainy season is about 900 m3 / s. Wudang Zhaogou is a confluence of Wudang Zhaogou and Zhenggou at shuimotan (named after Shuimo built about 200 years ago). The total length of Wudang Zhaogou is 31 km. There is a main gully above dafayou and a small flow below it. The maximum flood discharge in rainy season is about 1200 m3 / s. Houwudang gully, with a total length of 9 km, is a dry gully above xigedu in Jiuyuan District, and a small flow below it. The maximum flood volume in rainy season is about 500 m3 / s. The flood of every river (ditch) in the town flows into Wudanggou and flows out of Shaerqin to the South and into the Yellow River. The average annual flood discharge is 800m3 / s. Extreme maximum flood discharge 2000 m3 / S (July 1958).
