Guangyi Street

Guangyi street is located in the northwest of Chenghai City, adjacent to Fengxiang street in the East, Chenghua street in the south, Shanghua town in the west, Lianshang town and Lianxia town across Lianyang River in the north.

Guangyi street was established in February 1996, with a total area of 16.32 square kilometers and 11 community neighborhood committees. The total number of households is 10153 and the total population is 45100 (2017).

geographical environment

Guangyi street is located in the north of Chenghai District, Shantou City, Guangdong Province. National Highway 324 runs through the whole area. There is a bus terminal in the area, so the traffic is very convenient.

Economics

The east area of Guangyi street is a business district with developed business industry and prominent location advantages. With an investment of 60 million yuan and 250 mu of land along the east side of 324 National Highway, Chenghai plastic city, Chenghai flower and wood market, Chenghai fruit wholesale market and Yuehai transportation service center will be built to become an important business center in Chenghai District. Among them, the plastic city is one of the three major plastic products markets in China, and the Yuehai transportation service center is the largest and most standardized freight station in eastern Guangdong.

The central area of Guangyi street is an industrial zone with a rapid pace of industrial development. Guangfeng Industrial Zone, covering an area of 2000 mu, is one of the key industrial zones in Chenghai District. The "three links and one leveling" in the industrial zone has paved the main roads such as Dengfeng Road, Huadong Road, Guangyi Road, Yutan road and Ningchuan North Road, as well as the roads between the residential areas, forming a good transportation network, supporting water, electricity and other infrastructure, providing investors with high-quality and efficient services, and creating a good investment environment. At present, the development of the industrial zone is speeding up. More than 10 large and medium-sized enterprises, such as Xiedao, Hailong, Mengshi and Jinma, have settled here, and more and more businessmen are attracted to negotiate investment projects.

The western part of Guangyi street is an agricultural products processing and tourism area with rich land resources. It is planning and constructing "shibafeng mountain flower and fruit belt" and "riverside orchard greening scenic area" to accelerate the development of suburban "three high" agriculture and characteristic tourism.

In 2016, the total industrial output value of Guangyi street was 12.818 billion yuan, an increase of 21.83%; in terms of scale, the industrial output value was 10.342 billion yuan, an increase of 16.7%; the total investment in fixed assets was 1.19215 billion yuan, an increase of 20%; the total revenue of Finance and taxation was 293.7 million yuan, an increase of 10.52%; and the public budget revenue was 109.1 million yuan, an increase of 9.29%.

Guangyi Street speeds up the infrastructure construction, creates a good development environment, and vigorously promotes the industrialization process. With the improvement of infrastructure construction, the regional economy has achieved rapid development. In 2000, the gross domestic product and the total output value of industry and agriculture reached 515 million yuan and 1.373 billion yuan respectively.
