Historical evolution

In June 1955, shichengqiao office was established. In April 1960, shichengqiao and houjiaqiao offices merged to form Hanzhongmen branch of Jianye people's commune; Shuiximen and zhimaying offices merged to form Hanzhongmen branch of Jianye people's commune; Shuiximen and zhimaying offices merged to form Mochouhu branch of Jianye people's commune. In October 1961, it was renamed Hanzhongmen office and Mochouhu office respectively. In October 1962, Mochou Lake office was renamed Shuiximen office. In April 1968, it was renamed Hanzhongmen street and Shuiximen Street Revolutionary Committee.
