Historical evolution

The original Shimenkan town was assigned to Zhongshan Mausoleum Park in 1955, Qinhuai District People's commune was established in 1958, Xuanwu District Zijinshan commune was established in 1962, Shimenkan people's commune was established in 1963, Yuhuatai District was established in 1965, Shimenkan Township People's government was established in 1983, the township was withdrawn to build the town in October 1992, Baixia District was assigned to Nanjing District in 1995, and Nanjing district was established in September 1997 With the approval of the people's government, Guanghua Road sub district office was set up (for the convenience of management, Shimenkan town and the office worked together, i.e. two signs and one team). Shimenkan town was abolished in April 2001.
