Zhongxing town is located in the west of Suining City, 50km away from Suining City and 40km away from Anju city. It is surrounded by Lanjiang Town, Baoshi Town, Fenshui town, dongchan town and Baima town of Anju district. Suizimei expressway runs through the area. Baoshi station, the nearest exit, is about 4 highways away from zhongxingchang town. Suile Road, a county road, runs through the area.

Mazitan reservoir

Mazitan reservoir is located in Baima Town, Anju District, upstream of Bai'an River in Qiongjiang River Basin. The beach is named for its numerous pores, which are like pockmarks on the face. 5km away from Baima Town, the reservoir is a national medium-sized farmland irrigation reservoir with a length of about 28km. The water area involves Baima, Zhongxing, Buyun, Lanjiang and other towns, with an area of 12000 mu. There are more than 10 islands surrounded by water in the reservoir area. Both sides of the reservoir area have beautiful mountains and rivers, dense forests, fragrant birds and flowers, and fruit trees become forests.

Evolution of organizational system

On December 18, 2003, the State Council adjusted part of the administrative divisions of Suining City: the Shizhong District of Suining City was abolished, and Chuanshan district and Anju District of Suining City were established as the administrative region of the former Shizhong District.
