Daqiao street is located in the central and southern part of the district. It is named after the cross-border of the approach bridge of Puxi Section of Yangpu Bridge. It starts from Longchang Road, Ningwu Road, Pingding road and Dinghai road in the East, borders Pingliang Road and Jiangpu road along Yangshupu port in the west, adjacent to Kongjiang Road and yanjixin village in the north, and ends at Yangshupu Road in the south, facing Huangpu River and Pudong New Area across the river. It covers an area of 3.99 square kilometers with a population of 124954 (in 2010) and 29 neighborhood committees.

Daqiao street was founded in November 1991. It used to be an old village street dominated by old houses and simple houses.
