Yulin Township

Yulin township is under the jurisdiction of Fangzheng county. It is located in the southeast of the county, northwest of zhangguangcai mountain, and adjacent to Hailin City in the East. The township government is 16 kilometers away from the county seat. It used to belong to Deshan commune.

In November 1970, based on the former lishuyuan brigade of Deshan commune, a new village was added and a commune was established. Because the organization of the commune is located in the same place as the Red Star forest farm, it is named Red Star commune. In July 1981, it was renamed Yulin commune. In August 1984, the government and society were separated and changed into Yulin township.
