Xincun Township

Xincun township is located in the northwest of Ningnan County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is adjacent to Songxin town in the East, Xingfu Township in the south, Daogu Township in the West and Xinjian Township in the north. It is 41 kilometers away from the county seat, with superior geographical location. It covers an area of 50.29 square kilometers and has a total population of 5028 (2017).

Now, biwo village with low altitude has been formed in the whole Township, which mainly develops sericulture; Tianwan, Xinzhu and yanbaping villages with high altitude develop sericulture while taking into account the development of flue-cured tobacco as the core; green ecological three-dimensional agriculture with "6215" large-scale mulberry interplanting winter potato has been formed, which greatly improves the land output value per unit area. In 2013, the township raised 12654.08 silkworms, produced 12300 cocoons, planted 865 mu of flue-cured tobacco, produced 2307.2 tons of tobacco, and had 10533 livestock. The Gross Regional Product of the whole Township reached 68 million yuan, an increase of 13%, the external budget capital was more than 1 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers reached 7200 yuan.
