Sanhe Town, subordinate to Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the east of Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County, adjacent to Shasha Town, Qiaotou town and Zhongyi Township in the East, Nanbin street in the southwest, Daxie town and Longsha town in the north, 6000 meters away from Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County Government, with a total area of 102.03 square kilometers.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Sanhe Town was divided into xiyuanli Wujia and dongyuanli Erjia, which were dahezui town and canxi town; in December 2009, Sanhe township was changed into Sanhe Town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Sanhe Town was 28167. As of June 2020, Sanhe Town has 3 communities and 10 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Sanhe Town is located at No. 1, Sanhe street.

The main food crops in Sanhe Town are rice, wheat, corn and potato; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, cattle, Angora rabbits and poultry; the main industry is mining, electronic processing and building materials. History of construction

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to xiyuanli Wujia and dongyuanli Erjia, which were dahezui and canxi.

In 1930, Dahe Town was established. In August 1940, Dahe Town was transformed into Dahe township.

In December 1953, Dahe township was divided into two townships, Sanhe and Yonghe.

In December 1956, Sanhe Township and Yonghe Township merged into Sanshui township.

In September 1958, Sanshui township was transformed into Sanshui commune.

In March 1962, Sanshui commune was divided into Sanhe commune and Yonghe commune.

In January 1981, Sanhe commune changed its name to Sandian commune.

In November 1983, Sandian commune was transformed into Sandian township.

In July 2001, Sandian, Dahe, Yonghe and canxi were merged into Sanhe township.

In December 2009, Sanhe township was changed from township to town.

The town people's government is located at No.1 Sanhe street.

There are three main rivers in Sanhe Town: Longhe River, canxi River and Daheba River, with a total length of 35.4 km. Among them, Longhe River is 21.9 km long and its runoff is 8 m2 / s. it enters Yuling village and flows into Nanbin street after passing Sifang, ShuiHe, Sandian, Dahe, Dalin and Yazhuang villages. Canxi river is 7.1 km long and Daheba river is 6.4 km long.

natural disaster

The main natural disasters in Sanhe Town include flood, hail, drought and geological disasters. The most serious geological disaster occurred in May 2003. A large area of mountain collapse and debris flow occurred in Tengzigou power plant of Dahe village, causing damage to roads, fertile fields and buildings. The diversion tunnel earthwork with a cost of 3 million yuan collapsed, resulting in direct economic loss of more than 5 million yuan.
