Linjiang Town

Linjiang Town, a county in Longyan, Fujian, is located in the Midwest of Shanghang county. The area is 2.30 square kilometers, and its registered residence is about 42 thousand and 900 people (2018). It has 7 communities (7), and is the seat of Shanghang county political, economic and cultural center, the Shanghang County Committee of the Communist Party of China and the county people's Government of the Shanghang.

Historical evolution

The administrative district of Linjiang town began in the fourth year of Qiandao (1168) of Song Dynasty. The county site was moved from zhongliaochang for more than 800 years, which was called Guofang at that time.

Ming, Qing, renamed the city.

In the Republic of China, it was renamed the first district and the attached urban area.

After liberation, it was renamed Chengxiang District, Chengguan commune and Chengguan town.

In 1986, it was changed into Linjiang town.

Shanghang County Museum of Fujian Province

Shanghang County Museum of Fujian Province was founded in 1958, formerly known as Shanghang County revolutionary memorial hall. It was restored in November 1975 and even more now in 1989. It is a public welfare independent institution legal person unit.
