Chuangye township is under the jurisdiction of Tonghe county. It is located in the southeast of the county, on the North Bank of Songhua River, and in the East and south, it is bounded by Songhua River and Fangzheng county. The township government is 30 kilometers away from the county seat. Originally under the jurisdiction of Xiangshun commune. In October 1977, Xiangshun commune's six production teams, namely dalinzi, xiliufang, dongliufang, Xinxiang, Xincun and nanliufang, were set up to set up the entrepreneurial commune, which means "to work hard and build a foundation". In October 1979, it was officially approved. In March 1984, it was changed into entrepreneurial township. Chuangye township is a depression along the river, commonly known as the eastern waterlogging area. The total area of the township is 137 square kilometers, of which grassland area accounts for about 16%, Lake bubble water surface accounts for about 14%, the famous yuejinpao fishing ground in the county is located in the territory. Cultivated land area of 37000 mu, rich in rice and soybean. The township has jurisdiction over 9 villages, including Chuangye village, dalinzi village, toudou village, xiliufang village, Xinxiang village, nanliufang village, dongliufang village, Hongwei village and Xingwang village. In 1990, the total population of the township was 4975. The township government is located in nanliufang village.
