Yuelai town

Yuelai Town, an important hilly town in Dayi, Sichuan Province, is located in the west of Chengdu Plain. It covers an area of 57.49 square kilometers. It is located in the central hilly area of Dayi County. It is only 8 kilometers away from the county seat. It belongs to subtropical zone with mild and humid climate. There are Pingba, hills and high mountains in the county. It is a provincial pilot town for small town construction, a building materials base in Western Sichuan and an agricultural development base. The town governs 12 administrative villages and two neighborhood committees, with a total population of 26317 (2017).

Yuelai town is located in the hilly and low mountain belt formed by the fold of Qionglai mountain. There are three natural reservoirs: Ningjiang reservoir, Fengshou reservoir and Hongqi reservoir. Yuelai town is a subtropical climate zone, with annual average temperature of 16.10c, rainfall of 1100mm, sunshine hours of 717 hours, relative temperature of 87%, frost free period of 280 days, mild and humid, four distinct seasons.

On December 23, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Chengdu to adjust the administrative divisions of 15 counties (cities, districts) including Longquanyi District (cfzm [2019] No. 24): Jinxing township was abolished and its administrative region was put under the jurisdiction of Yuelai Town, whose people's government was stationed at No. 52 Huitong street.

Brief introduction of villages and towns

Yuelai town is rich in agricultural and sideline local products, mainly including Mayang, fruits and sericulture. It is always said that "merchants come to Guankou farm (i.e. Yuelai town) to buy fruits in summer and sheep in winter". Mayang has 5000 products annually, with 2000 mu of pomelo, 2000 mu of Fengshui Pear, 1000 mu of Japanese sweet persimmon, 3500 mu of mustard, 500 mu of Bansu, 1000 mu of rape seed production and 3500 mu of sericulture base. Yuelai town has a long history and cultural heritage. There are ancient Sichuan palace, unique Leng mansion and former residence of Che Yaoxian martyr, which have rich cultural heritage and historical value. In 2001, it was listed as one of the "top ten ancient towns in Chengdu".

Township products

Yuelai town has a long history, rich products and developed transportation. It is the throat of Dayi County to the national scenic spot Xiling Snow Mountain, alpine ski resort, Huashuiwan hot spring resort, the birthplace of Taoism - Heming mountain, and the early spread of Buddhism - wuzhongshan mountain. The xiejiang river passes by the city. It is a national first-class cement road, Dayi Shuanghe tourism express and Dayi Guanhe tourism express（ Dujiangyan (Guanxian county) road traverses the city from east to west, north to south. Yuelai ancient town is the distribution center of agricultural and sideline products in the hilly area of Dayi County, with a prosperous market. It is known as "one new (farm), two Tang (farm) and three irrigation outlets (Yuelai)" in ancient times, with an annual market turnover of more than 100 million yuan. It is rich in agricultural and sideline local products, with an annual output of 36000 pigs, 10000 Ma sheep and 60000 meat rabbits. It has an annual output of 2 million kg of oranges, 1.6 million kg of plums and 1 million kg of konjac. It has 2000 mu of Zhangzhou grapefruit base with an annual output of more than 1.8 million kg. It is known as "merchants come to Guankou (i.e. Yuelai) farm to buy fruits in summer and sheep in winter".

Township economy

Yuelai town has developed economy and prosperous enterprises. The industrial system of building materials, coal chemical industry, mechanical casting, food brewing, agricultural and sideline products processing has been initially formed, with an annual output value of 500 million yuan. Now Shunjiang industrial district has been built, with a cement plant with an annual output of 120000 tons, Ningjiang brick plant, the largest brick plant in Western Sichuan with an annual output of 70 million standard bricks, and a national secondary metallurgical coke production line with an annual output of 40000 tons. The tertiary industry is in the ascendant and has great development potential.

infrastructure

Yuelai town has excellent infrastructure and complete functions. Now the urban area is 3 square kilometers with a population of 6000. At present, there is a waterworks with a daily water supply capacity of 3000 tons; a post and Telecommunications Branch office with 2000 program-controlled telephones and mobile communications, covering an area of 40 mu; 2 hospitals; 2 schools; 3 banking offices; and 1 power supply office. Through the continuous development of urban construction in recent years, the appearance of cities and towns has been greatly improved, making the street lights gorgeous, roads smooth, beautiful environment, social stability, people live and work in peace and contentment, creating excellent conditions for opening up and attracting investment.
