Qu county governs the township. Located in the northeast of Qu county, Dazhou city. It is adjacent to Sanhui town in the East, Shuikou Township in the west, Yongxing Town in the north and tuxi town in the south. Jurisdiction Fuan village, Jinling Village, Muling village, Daoliang village, Ping'an Village 5 administrative villages. With a population of 8930 (2017), the township government is located in Ping'an Village, 27 kilometers away from the county seat.

Historical evolution

Ping'an township was established in 1950;

In 1958, it was changed into a commune;

In 1984, the township was changed;

In 1996, it covers an area of 17 square kilometers and has a population of 14000. It governs seven administrative villages, namely Fu'an, puling, Jinling, Muling, Daoliang, Wangping and Shengli.
