Dongfeng community neighborhood committee is adjacent to the South Bank of Desheng River in the north, Rongqi Avenue in the south, Fengxiang North Road in the East, old road in the West and dike, covering an area of 0.6 square kilometers. In the early days of the people's Republic of China, Weitou district was once the transportation, political, economic and cultural center of Rongqi town. In 1994, it was approved by Foshan municipal government as a guerrilla base of the liberation war. There are about 2600 registered residence households in the community, with nearly 10000 inhabitants. There are six residents' groups: Xinfeng, jiulu, Xinxing, Weidi, dongpaolou and Xinjie. There are three branches under the general Party branch, with 300 members.
