Yudaohe town

Yudaohe town belongs to Fenyang City, Shanxi Province, is one of the ancient towns of Fenyang City, located five kilometers northwest of Fenyang City. There are two state-owned forest farms, namely Xiangyang forest farm and Baihuling forest farm, with 300000 mu of virgin forest. The traffic location advantage of the territory is prominent, and the Qingdao Yinchuan expressway, Taizhongyin Railway and 307 National Road pass through the territory. The town has a population of 22207 people (2017), covering an area of 302.55 square kilometers, under the jurisdiction of 21 administrative villages, and the town Party committee and government are located in Yatou village.

Historical evolution

Yu Daohe commune was established in 1958 and a town was set up in 1984.

On June 22, 1984, the commune system of Fenyang county was changed into township system, and yudaohe commune was changed into yudaohe town.

In 2001, Fenyang City carried out the work of merging villages and towns, and Songjiazhuang Township and Wanbaoshan Township were merged into yudaohe town.

Yudaohe town is located in the northwest of Fenyang, where the terrain is high in the West and low in the East. Mountains, hills and rivers coexist. Karst landforms are developed in the west, especially in the west of yudaohe Town, such as Sanli taohuayu, jinsuoguan, Baihuling and Jiaokou.

Climatic characteristics

Yudaohe town belongs to temperate continental monsoon climate, with large temperature difference, four distinct seasons, sufficient sunshine, windy in spring, rainy and hot in summer, sunny in autumn, cool and pleasant climate, dry and cold in winter, and suitable for tourism in summer and autumn. The annual average temperature is 10.4 ℃, the average temperature in January is - 5.5 ℃, and the extreme minimum temperature is - 24.7 ℃; the average temperature in July is 24.4 ℃, and the extreme maximum temperature is 39.1 ℃. The annual average sunshine hours is 2468.2 hours, and the annual average rainfall is 426 mm.

Yudaohe town is rich in dolomite, limestone, quartzite, solid clay and other mineral resources. The town is rich in water resources. Two natural rivers, Yudao River and Xiangyang River, formed by spring water, run through the town from west to East. They not only satisfy the irrigation of 40000 mu of agriculture and forestry in liangsangou, but also supply 150000 people with drinking water, especially Shentou spring.

Cultural tourism

Among the eight scenic spots of Fenyang tourism, "horse ploughing holy spring" and "biaoling song" are located in Yudao river. According to legend, general Helu of the later Wei Dynasty conquered the barbarians and stationed here. There was no water in the army, and the horse's hooves ploughed the rocks and the clear spring gushed out. Later generations set up temples to worship them. According to legend, there was a song of "Da Luo immortal" playing flute and singing on the baibiao mountain, which had a wonderful voice. It was heard from far and near. Linglong tower was founded in the second year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1574), which was a legacy of the Ming Dynasty. Shuiquan Village Fort was built in Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty Thirteen years (1674) already existed. Before the 1930s, every hot summer, westerners from Britain, the United States, France and the Netherlands would come here for summer.

According to the distribution characteristics of tourism resources in the planning area, the principle of overall layout and the requirements of development sequence, the spatial layout of yudaohe town scenic spot is "two belts and three zones". Among them, "two zones" refers to "yudaohe ecological culture experience zone" and "xiangyangyu ancient post road style sightseeing zone"; and "three zones" refers to "Shenquan Valley, folk culture experience zone" and "Toudaochuan ecological leisure resort" on "yudaohe ecological culture experience zone", as well as "xiangyangyu ancient post road style sightseeing zone" on "xiangyangyu ancient post road style sightseeing zone".
