Dongsheng Street

Dongsheng Street is located in the middle of Cangshan District, east to the junction of Zexu Avenue and Sancha street, South to baihuqiao and xialianpu and Gaishan Town, West to shangsanlu Limin bridge and Cangshan town and Duihu street, north to Sancha Street Huandao and shangsanlu and Cangqian street, with a total area of 1.3 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over the neighborhood committees of Donghui, Dongnan and Dongxing communities. The resident population was 13195 (2010).

Dongsheng Street was established in July 1996. The district government decided to set aside five neighborhood committees, including Putou, Punan, Dongfu, DongTeng and Dongju, from Sancha street. In 1997, Dongshan and Dongxing neighborhood committees were added. In 1998, a joint development neighborhood committee was set up. By the end of July 2001, there were eight neighborhood committees in the district.

In August 2001, according to the unified deployment of the district Party committee and the district government, the community integration was carried out. The three neighborhood committees of Dongxing, Dongfu and Dongju were integrated, and the first neighborhood committee of Dongxing community was established. On October 29 of the same year, part of Dongshan, DongTeng and Punan neighborhood committees were integrated into Southeast community neighborhood committees. In March 2002, Putou neighborhood committee, Lianfa neighborhood committee and Punan neighborhood committee were integrated into Putou community neighborhood committee. So far, the original eight neighborhood committees have been integrated into three community neighborhood committees with more perfect functions and more abundant resources.

In 2010, with Jinhui Rhine City, Earl hill and other buildings completed and handed over for use according to the needs of regional development, the district government officially approved the establishment of Donghui community neighborhood committee in August. In May 2014, due to the large-scale demolition of Putou community, it was merged with Dongxing community.
