Heliu town is located in 30 ° 09 ′ 24 ″～ 30 ° 14 ′ 16 ″ n, 106 ° 49 ′ 22 ″～ 106 ° 54 ′ 15 ″ e, 19 km away from the county, Liangban and Jiufeng in the East, Sihai in the west, Tantong in the South and Mujia in the north. It covers an area of 42.29 square kilometers.

On December 11, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Guang'an City (cfgm [2019] No. 16): Sihai township was canceled and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Heliu Town, and the people's Government of Heliu town was stationed at 278 Rongxing road.

Evolution of administrative districts

In the 14th year of Daoguang reign in the Qing Dynasty (1834), the heshuichang and gandongba were set up. Guangxu 33rd year (1907), changed to heliuachang for Heliu Township, gandongbachang for Lefeng township. In July 1935, Hefeng township was established. In April 1953, Hefeng township was divided into fengle Township, and in September of the same year, Hefeng township was divided into Sihai township. In 1956, fengle township was merged into Hefeng township. In December 1968, it was changed from Hefeng to Heliu. In January 1994, the people's Government of Heliu town was established.

Administrative division

At the end of 2011, it has jurisdiction over ten village committees, including confluence, Yuhe, Hongmiao, Xianfeng, Zhongxin, Lvlin, Shimiao, Dengzhan, Houba and Gaoxing, and neighborhood committees of Daqiao and shuangarched bridges, with a total of 107 villager groups and 6 resident groups.

At the end of 2011, the total population of the district was 22962, mainly in rural areas. Among them, there are 3865 permanent urban residents and 189 floating population. In the total population, there are 11870 males, accounting for 51.6%; 11092 females, accounting for 48.4%; the vast majority are Han nationality. In 2011, the birth rate was 7.8 ‰, and the natural growth rate was 2.6 ‰. in 2017, the total population was 13114.

Heliu town is a hilly area, mainly from medium to deep hills, with terraces, cones and placanticlines all over the town. The elevation of the top of the hill is about 350 meters, and the relative height is 50-90 meters. Most of the hills are gully terraces. The intersection of Dagou and Yulin River, 246 meters above sea level, is the lowest point in the town. East Green, stone temple, Dengzhan village and center, Houba belong to the West Wing of Tongluoshan anticline, the mountains are serrated, long hill shape, slope 25 ~ 35 degrees. The ridge line is generally 700 meters above sea level, and the highest point is 803 meters above sea level.

Climate and hydrology

The annual average temperature is 15.8-17.7 ℃, the annual average precipitation is 1000-1500 mm, and the annual frost free period is 310-324 days. It has the characteristics of warm winter and hot summer, less rain in winter and spring, concentrated summer rain, continuous autumn rain and small wind. There are Yulin River and Qingxi river. Yulin River is about 5 km long from central village through liuyuhe village, Gaoxing village, central village, Daqiao community and shuanggongqiao community; Qingxi river is about 3 km long from Xianfeng village through liuyuhe village. Heliu town is rich in groundwater resources, and people in the town have been drinking natural cave water for many years.
