Yongfeng Township

Yongfeng Township is under the jurisdiction of Nehe city. It is located in the west of the city, adjacent to Nehe town in the south. The township government is 9 kilometers away from the urban area. Originally under the jurisdiction of Laolai District, Nehe county. In April 1956, the village was divided into townships and Yongfeng Township was set up. In September 1958, it was incorporated into Shengli people's commune. In March of the next year, Shengli commune was renamed Laolai commune. In June 1961, Yongfeng commune was set up from Laolai commune. In April 1984, it was changed to Yongfeng Township.

Yongfeng Township is high in the north and low in the south. In the north, there are many rivers and hills, while in the south, it is relatively flat. Nanyang river runs through the north and south. There are two small reservoirs, namely, three or eight reservoirs, for fish farming, irrigation, flood control in rainy season, and urban protection. The total area of the township is 78 square kilometers, with 138000 mu of arable land, mainly for food crops, with vegetables accounting for a certain proportion. In 1992, the total output value of township enterprises was 18.71 million yuan. The township has jurisdiction over 9 villages, including avant-garde, Changxing, Qingfeng, Hefa, Yongfeng, Rongguang, backer, Chengbei and Wanxing. At the end of 1992, the total population of the township was 18000. The township government is located in Qianwei village.
