Jiefang Township

Jiefang township is located in the hinterland of Mingshan District of Ya'an City, nestled in Baizhang lake, a provincial scenic spot. Cheng Ya Expressway and national highway 318 pass through the territory. And every village is connected with highway, so the traffic is very convenient. China Mobile and China Unicom have built communication base stations in the township and installed 600 telephones in the township. The highest temperature is 34.8 ℃, the annual rainfall is 500mm, and the frost free period is 290 days. It is the best suitable area for rice, tea, watermelon, vegetables and fruits. Pig, cattle, sheep, fish, Angora rabbit and other breeding industries are developed in the township. There are nine reservoirs such as Guanyin temple and hero bridge in the township. Wanxing canal water diversion project runs through the whole territory. Agriculture is very developed, and there is great potential for developing special breeding.

Jiefang Township governs 6 villages (Wenchang, yinmu, Yuegang, Gaogang, Wugang, Wazi) and 37 agricultural cooperatives with a total population of 9267 (2017). It covers an area of 22.42 square kilometers, with a total industrial and agricultural output of 85 million yuan and an annual per capita net income of 1918 yuan.

There are 10 units stationed in the township, and a number of backbone enterprises such as Changfa Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., mingmeng machinery factory, Millennium Wine Co., Ltd. and green industry science and technology development and Research Institute. Tax revenue is more than 2 million yuan a year. In the township, there are "muscle pool" leisure village with beautiful mountains and waters, the magnificent 100 meter waterfall through the Dragon Cave, 24 green gardens competing with each other, the "24 pan Dragon Cave Lake" and Guanyin Temple family style tourism leisure village, which are to be developed.
