Sanxing town is located in the northwest of Yingshan County, adjacent to Peng'an in the West and Yilong in the north. The town has a total of 7 villages, 78 communities and 7869 people (2017), covering an area of 21.95 square kilometers. The town is the key ginger production base of Yingshan County, ginger production has become the local backbone industry, the town produces about 61 tons of ginger a year.

The town is very rich in water resources. About 80% of the villagers in six villages live along the river.
