Gonghe town

Gonghe town is subordinate to Huangzhong District, Xining City, Qinghai Province. It is adjacent to Handong Hui nationality township in the East, Huangyuan County in the West and south, Huangshui River in the north and Duoba town in the north. Its administrative area is 264 square kilometers.

By the end of 2018, the Republic of China had 32114 registered residence population. As of October 2019, 1 communities and 30 administrative villages were under the jurisdiction of Gonghe Town, and the former town government was stationed in the village.

In 2018, there were 22 industrial enterprises in Gonghe Town, and there were 50 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In 2001, Pandao Township, Gonghe Township and Weixin Township were merged into Gonghe town.

Gonghe town is adjacent to Handong Hui nationality township in the East, Huangyuan County in the West and south, Huangshui River in the north and Duoba town in the north, 38 kilometers away from Xining City, the provincial capital, with an administrative area of 264 square kilometers.

Gonghe town is located in naoshan area, most of which are mountainous areas. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, with an average altitude of 2635 meters.

Gonghe town belongs to Huangshui River system, with Pandao River and gazhuang river flowing into Huangshui River in Duoba town of Huangzhong County.

At the end of 2011, the total population of Gonghe town was 32687, including 719 urban residents, with an urbanization rate of 2.2%. Among the total population, 16896 were male, accounting for 51.7%; 15791 were female, accounting for 48.3%; 5581 were under 14 years old, accounting for 17.1%; 24915 were between 15 and 64 years old, accounting for 76.2%; 2191 were over 65 years old, accounting for 6.7%; Han and Tibetan were the main ethnic groups in the total population, with ethnic minorities accounting for 21% of the total population %The birth rate was 6.08 ‰, and the natural growth rate was 2.8 ‰.

Economics

In 2011, agriculture in Gonghe town was dominated by planting, with wheat, potato and broad bean as the main food crops, and vegetables as the main economic crops. The vegetable planting area was 15000 mu, with Chinese cabbage, potash, tomato and zucchini as the main varieties. The cultivated area was 80000 mu, including 14000 mu of irrigated land. The total agricultural output value was 220 million yuan, an increase of 21.5% over the previous year.

In 2011, the total industrial output value of Gonghe town reached 3 million yuan, mainly composed of prefabrication plants and retail stores. There are three markets of Shanjia, Qianying and Weixin, with more than 300 merchants.
