The third branch of friendship farm is in the station. The township government is 12 kilometers away from the county seat. Originally a branch of friendship farm, it was built in 1955. After the establishment of Youyi County in 1960, the township system was established, and it was renamed Tuanjie Township in 1962. In March 1969, it was renamed the Third Battalion of the 18th regiment of the production and Construction Corps. In February 1976, the organizational system of the farm was restored and it was the third branch of friendship farm. After the restoration of Youyi County, Xingsheng township was set up in August 1985. The total area of the township is 126.7 square kilometers, with 150000 mu of cultivated land. At the end of 2007, the total population of the township was 7655. The township government is located in Xingsheng village.
