Yonghe Township

Yonghe township is located in the northeast corner of the county. It connects Wenxian county and Zhouqu County in Gansu Province on the southeast and north sides, and Anle Township on the West. Jiawuliang is separated by Yonghe township. It covers an area of 39.77 square kilometers and has an altitude of 1650 meters. It is a minority Township with Hui as the main body.

Moheba, the resident center of township government, is 70km away from the county seat. It has jurisdiction over 7 administrative villages, 12 villager groups and 3711 people (2017). Every village has access to radio and television, 6 villages have access to tap water, 4 villages have access to cars and 5 villages have access to telephone. There are tap water supply facilities, health centers, radio and television stations, one central primary school, two village primary schools and two village level power stations. In 2002, the total rural economic income of the township was 3.726 million yuan, the net income per capita was 814 yuan, the cultivated land area was 4972 mu, the grain planting area was 6641 mu, and the grain output was 974 tons. Grain crops include wheat, corn, potato, pea and buckwheat seed; economic crops include vegetables, rape, tobacco, Codonopsis pilosula and Angelica sinensis; 1010 mu of domestic medicinal materials and 61 tons of Codonopsis pilosula; economic trees include apple, pear, cherry, jujube and walnut. In 2003, Yonghe Township, according to the regional characteristics, adapted measures to local conditions, took the opportunity of returning farmland to forest (grass), took the production base of Codonopsis pilosula as an opportunity, vigorously developed the fruit industry, and developed animal husbandry with the existing grassland of 18000 mu, driving the common development of other industries.
