Xinhe Township

Xinhe Township, under the jurisdiction of Antu County, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, is located in the middle of Antu County, bordering Mingyue Town in the East, Yongqing Township and West town of Helong city in the south, Wanbao town in the West and Dashitou town of Dunhua City in the north, with an administrative area of 876.87 square kilometers.

In 1908, it belonged to Zundao township of Huadian County; in 1909, it belonged to Zundao township of Antu County; in 1983, it was changed into a township by Xinhe commune. By the end of 2018, 5520 people had registered residence in Xinhe township. As of June 2020, Xinhe township has jurisdiction over one community and 18 administrative villages.

At the end of 2011, the total financial revenue of Xinhe township was 3.06 million yuan, an increase of 8% over the previous year. Among them, the local fiscal revenue was 2.74 million yuan, an increase of 31% over the previous year. In 2018, Xinhe township has two comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

Qing Guangxu 34 years (1908), is Huadian County Zundao township.

In 1909, the first year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Zundao township of Antu County.

In 1912, it was changed into the second district.

In 1936, it belonged to Wanbao village.

In 1949, it belonged to Shiqi village, the fourth district.

In 1956, Xinhe township was established.

In 1958, it belonged to the Xinhe management area of Wanbao commune.

In 1961, Xinhe rural reform commune.

In 1983, Xinhe commune was transformed into a township.

administrative division

At the end of 2011, Xinhe Township had 18 administrative villages under its jurisdiction: Xinhe, Shiqi, Daqiao, qidingzi, qinggouzi, nanshiqi, Xihan, Taiqian, Daba, xiaohuanggou, jifangzi, Shenchang, Dahuanggou, beigouling, Kaoshan, Shuguang, Hanconggou, Xishan; and 30 villager groups.

As of June 2020, Xinhe township has one community and 18 administrative villages: Xinhong community, Shiqi village, Daba village, xiaohuanggou village, Xihan village, canchang village, beigouling village, Shuguang village, qinggouzi village, Dahuanggou village, jifangzi village, Hanconggou village, Daqiao village, qidingzi village, Xinhe village, Taiqian village, nanshiqi village, Xishan village and Jinshan Village. The Township People's government is stationed in Shiqi village.

Xinhe township is located in the middle of Antu County, bordering Mingyue Town in the East, Yongqing Township and West town of Helong city in the south, Wanbao town in the West and Dashitou town of Dunhua City in the north, with an administrative area of 876.87 square kilometers.

topographic features

Xinhe township is located in the middle and low mountain basin valley area of Yanbian and the hinterland of Changbai Mountain. The terrain is high in the southeast and northwest, and low in the middle and West. The territory is surrounded by mountains, with undulating peaks and alluvial plains in the middle, belonging to the landform of erosion and denudation small undulating low mountains. The ground is generally 842 meters above sea level. The main mountain ranges are mudanling and huanggouling. The highest peak is at the enchanting array mountain, with an altitude of 1000.7 meters. The lowest point is at the gudonghekou in the west of huanggouling, with an altitude of 684 meters.

The river course in Xinhe Township belongs to Songhua River Basin. The largest river in Xinhe township is Gudong river. It enters from Helong City, converges Dahuanggou in the southeast and hancong River in the north, flows through xiaohuanggou, Daba, Xihan, Daqiao, qinggouzi, qidingzi and Xinhe villages from east to west, and then flows into erdaosonghua river through Wanbao, Yongqing and Liangjiang villages. It has a river length of 55 kilometers, a drainage area of 876 square kilometers, and an average annual flow of 7000 cubic meters per second. The main tributaries are xiaohuanggou, Dahuanggou, lalaganggou, hanconghe, etc.

There are molybdenum, gold, iron, copper and marble in Xinhe township. The available amount of groundwater resources is 30.98 million cubic meters. The forest area is 52700 hectares. The main natural tree species are Pinus massoniana, Pinus koraiensis, spruce, oak, larch, Pinus sylvestris, Fraxinus mandshurica, Catalpa bungei, birch, poplar, elm, chatiao, etc. Wild fruits are mainly apricot, grape, pear and so on. Wild medicinal materials mainly include Gentianaceae, asarum, Codonopsis pilosula, ginseng, Gastrodia elata, Dioscorea nipponica, Schisandra chinensis, Platycodon grandiflorum, etc. Wild vegetables mainly include fern, celery, daylily, Osmunda japonica, etc. Wild edible fungi are mainly hazelnut mushroom, yuan mushroom, elm yellow mushroom, black fungus and so on. Wild animals mainly include roe deer, wild boar, fox, raccoon dog, badger rabbit, hedgehog, weasel, pheasant, squirrel, snake, frog, pheasant, woodpecker, owl, eagle, vole, etc.
