Yanminghu town

Yanminghu town is located in the north of Zhongmou County, Henan Province, adjacent to langchenggang town in the East, Dameng town in the south, Wantan town in the West and the Yellow River in the north. Yanminghu town covers a total area of 95.6 square kilometers. The town has 19 administrative villages (including two immigrant villages), 21 natural villages, 28 thousand registered residence population and 42 thousand permanent residents.

In November 2017, Yanminghu town was awarded the fifth national civilized village. In October 2019, Yanminghu town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019".

Evolution of organizational system

Yanminghu town was once known as dongzhangzhuang. In the ninth year of Tongzhi reign in the Qing Dynasty, the official of river management changed his name to dongzhangzhuang with the word "Zhang". Dongzhang Central Township was built in 1956. In 1958, it belonged to Wantan commune. Dongzhang commune was established in 1961. It was incorporated into Dameng commune in 1963. In 1965, Dongzhang commune was rebuilt. In 1983, it was changed to Dongzhang township. In March 2004, with the development of Yanming Lake ecological scenic spot, Dongzhang township was renamed Yanming Lake Township. In March 2010, the township was removed to build a town.

Yanminghu town is high in the southwest and low in the northeast, with an average altitude of 80.3 meters and an altitude drop of about 5 meters.

climatic conditions

Yanminghu town belongs to the warm temperate continental monsoon climate zone. It is dry and windy in spring, hot and rainy in summer, cold and less snow in winter, and obvious replacement in four seasons. The seasonal distribution of precipitation is very different, mostly in summer. The dominant wind direction is northeast wind in winter and south wind in summer.

Yanminghu town is adjacent to Zhongmou exit of Lianhuo Expressway in the south, 7 km away from Zhengbian urban expressway. G107 passes through Wantan town in the west of the town in the north-south direction. The Yellow River embankment road, Yanyue Avenue and Zhaokou main canal road in the west of Yanminghu town are connected to G107. Provincial road 312 runs through the whole town, and Zhengzhou Metro Line 12 goes directly to the town center.

Yanminghu town has 5000 mu of water area, 5200 mu of wetland, more than 10000 mu of forest land, 3300 mu of grassland, 110000 mu of Yellow River natural wetland around, 53 species of tree species and nearly 80 species of birds.

Yanming Lake town is the largest water area and wetland in the eastern part of Zhengzhou city. There are Zhaokou main canal, Donggan canal and Dingcun branch canal in the Yellow River diversion channel. The main drainage channels are Yunliang River and dinggou river. It crosses the whole territory in Northwest and Southeast directions.

Economics

The integration of agriculture and tourism is called "wild geese singing in the countryside". Yanminghu town constantly optimizes the industrial structure, and the integration of agriculture and tourism develops at a high speed. There are Andrews (Zhengzhou) golf club, Shawo Forest Park, crab island forest park, bird watching Forest Park and other scenic spots. Yanming Lake town is committed to the demonstration and promotion of scenic spots, supporting the development of rural tourism and characteristic suburban tourism based on leisure and sightseeing agriculture. There are more than 50 picking gardens and fishing gardens in the town. Hairy crab breeding cooperatives, fruit and vegetable planting cooperatives, farmer's Association and other non-governmental Industrial Organizations are operating healthily. Among them, Yanming crab island forest park is rated as AAAA scenic spot.

Yanminghu town takes the construction of national modern agricultural demonstration area, northern County Leisure and health care area and high-end residential service area as the overall regional positioning, and the R & D (Headquarters) gathering area of multi theme aggregation as the regional industrial positioning, so as to improve the ecological quality and improve the basic supporting facilities.

In October 2019, Yanminghu town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019".

On June 20, 2020, it was named the first batch of "beautiful towns" in Henan Province.

On July 29, 2020, it was named as the National Health township (county) of 2017-2019 cycle by the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee.
