Lianhe township is under the jurisdiction of Suihua City. Located in the north end of the city, it is connected with Suiling County in the East and North. The township government is 53 kilometers away from the urban area. Originally under the jurisdiction of Zhangwei District of Suihua County, it was transferred to the Tenth District in 1951. In April 1956, the village was divided into townships and the United Township was set up. In August 1958, it was incorporated into the United People's commune. In 1961, the United commune was set up. In March 1984, it was changed to Lianhe township.

In March 1984, it was changed to Lianhe township. Lianhe township is located in the north of Beilin District, Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province, on the West Bank of nuopi River, and adjacent to neierhe Township, Suiling County in the East. Now the administrative system has been abolished and merged into the jurisdiction of Sanjing Township, Beilin District. The former Union Township, with 17000 people, is about 30 Li wide from east to west and 15 km long from north to south. There are six administrative villages. Lianhe township is a relatively remote Township in the city, which belongs to hilly area. The total area of the township is 67.6 square kilometers, with 81000 mu of cultivated land, mainly for grain crops. Township industry has horsehair factory, brick factory and so on. The township has jurisdiction over 13 villages, 12 villages, 14 villages, 15 villages before, 15 villages after and 16 villages. At the end of 1992, the total population of the township was 13700. The township government is located in 13 villages.
