Tuanjie Township is under the jurisdiction of Shuangcheng District of Harbin city. Located in the west of the District, the township government is 30 kilometers away from the city. In 1970, when the jurisdiction of some communes was adjusted, Xiqin, Shuiquan, Xingshan and other communes set aside some production teams to form a new commune, named Tuanjie commune. In the spring of 1984, it was changed into Tuanjie Township. It is one of the villages and towns with relatively late establishment and less land area in Shuangcheng City.

Tuanjie Township is low in the South and high in the north, with hillock land and flat hillock land accounting for 60%. The total area of the township is 98.3 square kilometers, and the cultivated area is 99000 mu. The main crops are corn, soybean, wheat, flax, sugar beet, etc. Township run industry has agricultural machinery repair, oil rice processing, wood, brick factory. The township has jurisdiction over 12 villages, including Tuanjie, Liujia, Lianfeng, Baofeng, happy, increasing income, increasing victory, founding, chuangqin, enriching the people, the country and the rich. At the end of 1992, the total population of the township was 17000, of which the Manchu and other ethnic minorities accounted for 11%. The township government is stationed in Tuanjie village.
